Coincidence?

Our electric and water has always been sporadic, but for the last month it has been consistent… consistently going off on Saturday and Sunday.  Last weekend was the worst being without electric for 32 of 40 hours.  We were in crisis control mode wrapping our deep freezer in blankets as we recently returned from a resupply trip and it was full of meat that we didn't want to lose!  

This morning the power went off at 1 a.m. and came back on at 5:30 p.m.  We are thankful that it wasn't off for too long.  While our water usually returns within an hour of the power, it didn't happen that way tonight.  I had left a tap open in the kitchen so we would hear when it came back on.  Each night we sit down and pray as a family, each taking our turn.  Heather prayed for the water to come back on (the kids needed baths and the dishes were piling up!) and immediately after the words came out of her mouth we heard a trickle come from the faucet as the water began to return!  What an awesome God we serve who hears our prayers and answers them.  Maybe not immediately, but what an encouragement it was to us tonight!  

I have also been having trouble with my Macbook (I thought these things weren't supposed to have problems!).  I was on chat with an Apple representative and in our conversation of where to ship it to so it can be repaired I found out he had just moved back to the States from living in….  Zambia!  Coincidence?  What a great source of encouragement it was to me to connect with a guy who understands the difficulties we face in trying to get this machine to a repair center.  

We are so grateful to serve a God who is in the details, who cares and sustains us even in the smallest aspects of our lives!
