Sunday Buddies


Our church(Northside Baptist) continues to be such a blessing to us! They are such good friends and adopted family. We give God all the credit for such precious people who share their lives with us. Anytime we have a need, like a child in the hospital, they are so quick to help with childcare, meals, cleaning, treats, encouraging words, and powerful prayers. What a blessing church is!

Here is a picture of one of Elijah's good friends named Edison. They are two peas in a pod! Eddison's mommy got two of these shirts in the same size and shared one with us. (isn't she sweet!) The boys wore them on the same Sunday so that we could snap a pic BEFORE they outgrow them...I don't think the nursery workers had a chance keeping their names straight after we did this.

This pregnancy we had the unique experience of being pregnant at the same time as two sweet friends. We were due within a week of each other. We started out as friends from church...but after the time of such shared experience, now we are close!

Sharing my Secrets...

Can I be honest and let you in on a personal secret?  Promise not to judge?  OK, here it is, prayer lists are challenging for me.  I know, how unspiritual is that?  Line after line of the teen who is going to be taking his driving test next Tuesday, the parent who wants her precious, sensitive daughter to land the lead role in the school play or the hip surgery for Grandma Jane.  (Grandma, Grammy, Grandmother or whatever you call her is probably ready to come and kick my shins for vocalizing it… and she probably will once she gets full use of her legs again.)  There are also those prayer requests with a more “spiritual” side like praying for the missionaries who are living in pray-for-them-again-astan.  Am I the only one that struggles with prayer lists?   Can I be honest and let you in on a personal secret?  Promise not to judge?  (yes, I started two paragraphs in a row with the same two sentences)  OK, here it is, I als...
