Camping Out!

A couple of weeks ago, we went for our first camping trip!  Well, camping trip is a bit of a stretch.  We only went 30 minutes away and only stayed one night.  The kids loved it!  I think it is safe to say we will be doing this again!

Karissa did not like waiting for the tent to be set up and the hot dogs to cook.  Here, she looks like she is saying, "They are RIGHT here!  Will somebody feed me please!!"

The next morning, we had a great breakfast thanks to Chef Daddy!  
Elijah loved every minute of being outdoors!
Makayla and Karissa did too, they just didn't beam the whole time like our little man.  
This is them checking out a locust shell that Karissa, the fearless one, pulled off of a tree.
The kids had a great time at the playground too!
Little Miss Makayla is always helping me spot a good photo op.

ummmm....maybe I've been a little camera crazy lately.
I'm gonna miss it when Karissa's hair no longer does this from the static on the slides!
We had such a fabulous time making memories!
I am beyond blessed to have this amazing man as my husband!  And our 3 sweet munchkins too!

Love the static hair! Your munchkins are so precious. Your pics make me want to go camping... if only I wasn't 34 weeks pregnant. I feel uncomfortable enough as it is without having to sleep in a tent. :) Glad you guys had fun, though! Ha! :)

Sharing my Secrets...

Can I be honest and let you in on a personal secret?  Promise not to judge?  OK, here it is, prayer lists are challenging for me.  I know, how unspiritual is that?  Line after line of the teen who is going to be taking his driving test next Tuesday, the parent who wants her precious, sensitive daughter to land the lead role in the school play or the hip surgery for Grandma Jane.  (Grandma, Grammy, Grandmother or whatever you call her is probably ready to come and kick my shins for vocalizing it… and she probably will once she gets full use of her legs again.)  There are also those prayer requests with a more “spiritual” side like praying for the missionaries who are living in pray-for-them-again-astan.  Am I the only one that struggles with prayer lists?   Can I be honest and let you in on a personal secret?  Promise not to judge?  (yes, I started two paragraphs in a row with the same two sentences)  OK, here it is, I als...
